Nothing can be more degrading for God than man trying to understand God in man terms.
When we approach this awesome God and our mind is constricted by known physics and science then we are simply inadequate in every sense of the word and we are blaspheming God. So how does this go when we try to understand Genesis 1.
Gen 1:2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
Gen 1:3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. (NASB)
and now here before you stands the God of the biggest Bang man can ever be witness to.
Science is nothing more than man discovering God’s creation. We are often told we must learn from History so that we don’t repeat the mistakes that were made in the past. Well what I learn from history is that the science of the day is the not the final frontier. Science often gets it completely wrong and then we discover the next step in the infinite climb to knowledge. Today’s science is yesterdays lies.
Isa 25:1 O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. (NASB)
and further in this Passage (Isa 25) in verses 6 to 9 Isaiah talks the Lord prepares the feast of the finest Spiritual delights. (Jesus) The veil of Satanic blindness that covers and shrouds the nations will be lifted by the death conqueror (Jesus).
Isa 25:6 And on this Mount [Zion] shall the Lord of hosts make for all peoples a feast of rich things [symbolic of His coronation festival inaugurating the reign of the Lord on earth, in the wake of a background of gloom, judgment, and terror], a feast of wines on the lees–of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
Isa 25:7 And He will destroy on this mountain the covering of the face that is cast over the heads of all peoples [in mourning], and the veil [of profound wretchedness] that is woven and spread over all nations.
Isa 25:8 He will swallow up death [in victory; He will abolish death forever]. And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; and the reproach of His people He will take away from off all the earth; for the Lord has spoken it. [I Cor. 15:26, 54; II Tim. 1:10.]
Isa 25:9 It shall be said in that day, Behold our God upon Whom we have waited and hoped, that He might save us! This is the Lord, we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. (AMP)
In trying to understand God our humanity always tries to get the better of us. God the father is dimensionless in time, Jesus his son came to earth and displayed, in man terms, miracles, that went beyond death itself. He raised them from death and then did it himself. His miracles walked among us and still today his miracles walk among us. Then the most awesome of all things happened, the Holy Spirit was given to us.
If we can comprehend that the Holy Spirit is here amongst us, in us, and part of those who are in the Spirit then which boundaries would you put on Gods infinite capacity.
All mankind are made of flesh but in that flesh dwells a spirit. The question is is it a spirit or a Spirit? John 14:9 to 11 is a gift and reward that is available to all who seek God. We cannot make fruit without being grafted into the True vine, you me or any one else cannot bare the fruit if the Spirit does not flow through us as the branch. If we abide in Him we will bare fruit, but of our own accord we bare no fruit and the Father will cut us off. (John 15:1-2)
There is no limit to the infinite Triune God. He breathed the universe and all the stars into existence.(Psa 33:6, Heb 11:3, 2 Pet 3:5) We have no chance of understanding Him we can only look on in awe and use our minuscule children’s eyes when we glance in His direction. It has to be the fleetest of glances, because if we looked and truly saw we would die. (Exodus 33:20)
