Day 3 ~ Purpose Driven Life – Revisited. Jesus is the door!

Day 3 ~ What drives your life?

No matter what drives your life you cannot shed it or change out of it if you do not use Jesus as the door to Gods perfect peace. Something I have been experiencing more and more is the contented and all-embracing Godly peace found in Christ.

In today’s message Rick examines what drives us. He raises things like, being driven or guided by something from our past, having been put down by a condescending father or mother. Believing and living lies from our past.

My first thought was we must be able to close the door on these inhibiting and disabling thoughts and manifestations. Jesus becomes and is the door. Firstly no matter what you bring to His already lacerated back you can add your crucifying acts. When you have presented your burdens and your malaligned work he bears it on the cross for you.

But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities.
Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. Isa 53:10-12  (NASB)

Your freedom is complete in every respect because of Jesus the Christ. And in his own words So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36 (BSB)

Now when you reach the end of day 3 in the book Rick closes with this verse “You, LORD, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you.” ISAIAH 26: 3 (TEV)

You were NOT put on earth to be remembered. You were put here to prepare for eternity. (PDL – Rick ©)

    • Amen. ~ The test is in 1 John 3:6 ~ 3:6 To abide in him in uninterrupted seamless oneness, is to live free from sin. Whoever continues in sin has obviously not perceived how free they are in him; they clearly do not really know him. (The word, meno suggests an uninterrupted abiding; a seamless oneness!) 3:7 Little children, do not be led astray by any other opinion; his righteousness is the source of our righteousness. 3:8 Sin’s source is a fallen mindset, from the beginning! For this purpose the son of God was revealed! His mission was to undo the works of the devil! (The word, diabolos, from dia, because of and ballo, to cast down.) 3:9 To discover one’s authentic sonship in God, is to discover true freedom from sin. We are born of him and his seed remains in us; this is the only possible reference to sober up the mind from the intoxicating influence of deception. (The incoruptible seed of our Father carries the exact pattern of the authentic life of our design! Jesus calls the devil, the father of lies. John 8:31 Jesus then said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples, John 8:32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:36 So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks from his own distorted opinion; for he is a liar and the father of lies. From the Mirror Bible.
