Day 2 ~ Psa 138:8a ~ The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me!
For I am confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. {Philippians 1:6} (BSB)
The 2nd day starts with this statement from Rick;
“YOU ARE NOT AN ACCIDENT. Your birth was no mistake or mishap, and your life is no fluke of nature. Your parents may not have planned you, but God did. He was not at all surprised by your birth. In fact, he expected it.” Psalm 138: 8a (NIV). (The Purpose Driven Life ~ Rick Warren)

There is also a summary sheet for your perusal and consideration.
Driven but not stirred?
2 Corinthians 5:20 “Therefore, you are ambassadors for Christ, as God is making his appeal to you and through you. You are implored on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God. God made him who knew no sin be sin on your behalf so that in him you might become the righteousness of God.” (Para) What an awesome responsibility and privilege.
As an ambassador of Christ, you should always be proclaiming the gospel of Christ, and only be using words where it is necessary. (Para – Francis of Assisi: “Preach the gospel. Use words if necessary.”)
You are in God’s center stage.
Day 2 – We are our own inhibitors!
If we take any piece of technology today and look at the fine intricacies with which we are able to carry out design and bring that to fruition it would astound people who lived 2000 years ago. The cars we drive today have every single part in them engineered and designed to the finest detail. The parts all fit together, and “hey presto” you have a vehicle that is functional and quite amazing in its own right.
God is infinite,
God has infinite wisdom,
God is love,
and then just in a passing thought God has infinite resources.
If man is capable of building cars and all these other things, what would God be capable of?
Then why do we limit him? God’s limit and fences we build around his ability are caused by our inability to understand and our lack of knowledge.
Not only are you part of his creation, but the most astounding thing of all is you have been invited to be his child. There is no limit to what God will do to indwell you? God has given you the choice!
What an amazing sobering thought?
I love the analogy of inticate design and purpose as part of a greater whole given above.
The Lord is not only an expert technician possessing all knowledge of how to create but also an artist creating the beautiful, remarkable and original. Some of that beauty remains hidden or waits to be discovered. he is a painter, a poet, a composer and a conductor. He knew exactly what He was doing when he created each of us. He made each of us knowing specifically where and when to display is and when to hide or rest us.
May instruments are not suited to play a great range of melodies on their own but own essential and beautiful roles and have far greater significance within the glory of a well-orchestrated symphony. And Sea lions that move clumsily on land are amazingly graceful and skilled swimmers when “in the element”.
Ephesians 2:10 says:
For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. (Amp)
or
For we are the product of His hand, heaven’s poetry etched on lives, created in the Anointed, Jesus, to accomplish the good works God arranged long ago. (Voice)
And as amazing as this verse is, it’s even better in the context of the foregoing and ensuing verses.
